Our 257th sale features an impressive Bosnia collection (the D.M. van Gelderen collection including proofs and many variaties). Furthermore we offer specialised and large collections of Italy, Latin America and Poland. An extensive philatelic library is also on sale for collectors of philatelic literature.
For Netherlands collectors and dealers this sale features the 2nd part of Dutch collector C. Avezaat (Netherlands and Colonies single frankings and fdc's). In addition the 2nd part of postal historian C. van Hoek is included. These 2 name sales are supported by a wide and diverse range of single lots, collections and stock of our other consignors.
Pakketomslag met op achterzijde het zeer zeldzame Déboursé stempel - Debé de L'armée du Nord - in rood met op voorzijde het zeldzame 2 regelig stempel - Armée/ Sambre et Meuse - (vermoedelijk in Duitsland geplaatst) naar Ravenstein, gewicht 26 Onces, port 26x4x4 geeft 416 sols, het door de ontvanger te betalen port kon niet betaald worden en werd afgeschreven middels Déboursé stempel (op achterzijde) en doorgezonden naar de geadresseerde te Mayence (Mainz). Daar moest maar liefst 31 livres en 4 sols aan port betaald worden (waarschijnlijk het hoogst bekende briefport uit de Franse periode), omslag smoezelig en kreukelig maar uitermate zeldzame brief, uitvoerige beschrijving bij kavel aanwezig
