Auction 256 march 2023
Our 256th auction entails extensive collections and stocks of Netherlands and colonies, the first part of the impressive C. Avezaat collection (single frankings and first day covers) and the second part of the P. van Alteren collection (Dutch numeral cancellations). In addition we offer better lots foreign countries (especially French colonies), coins and picture postcards.
10 cent rood in paar op briefomslag van Rotterdam 14-5-1866 via Emmerich naar Pernau (thans Pärnu in Estland). Brief is 10 cent ondergefrankeerd maar niet beport; vermoedelijk heeft de postbeambte gedacht dat de brief voor Pernau in Oostenrijk bedoeld was!, pracht ex. met certificaat Dr. Louis 1993. Volgens het Corinphila archief slechts 4 brieven met emissie 1864 naar Estland bekend!
