Our 256th auction entails extensive collections and stocks of Netherlands and colonies, the first part of the impressive C. Avezaat collection (single frankings and first day covers) and the second part of the P. van Alteren collection (Dutch numeral cancellations). In addition we offer better lots foreign countries (especially French colonies), coins and picture postcards.
10 cent dofrood plaat V op in Soerabaja gedrukte circulaire betreffende de oprichting van een handelshuis van Amsterdam 20-5-1859 naar Middelburg met driehoekig drukwerk-belastingstempel van 1½ cent. De circulaires werden vermoedelijk door een agent naar Nederland meegenomen en met 10 stuks onder één omslag (drukwerktarief was 1 cent) naar Middelburg verzonden, zeer fris pracht ex. Één zeer bijzonder poststuk!
