Our 257th sale features an impressive Bosnia collection (the D.M. van Gelderen collection including proofs and many variaties). Furthermore we offer specialised and large collections of Italy, Latin America and Poland. An extensive philatelic library is also on sale for collectors of philatelic literature.
For Netherlands collectors and dealers this sale features the 2nd part of Dutch collector C. Avezaat (Netherlands and Colonies single frankings and fdc's). In addition the 2nd part of postal historian C. van Hoek is included. These 2 name sales are supported by a wide and diverse range of single lots, collections and stock of our other consignors.
Fiscaalstempel VOC 12 st. in krans, pracht afdruk op notariële akte Bengalen (thans Bangladesh) opgemaakt te Hougly 26-8-1785 met interessante inhoud (verkoop van slaaf Bohmah de Jonge). Tevens verzegeld aangehecht een document in het Arabisch.
Landmailzegel met Mail en Koper recht onder elkaar en waarde-aangifte 2,16 koper op briefomslag van Rotterdam 22-6-1846 naar Semarang met P.P. in grijs, archiefvouw deels door zegel, cat.w. 3500.
Landmailzegel met Te en Batavia recht onder elkaar en waarde-aangifte 150 duiten op briefomslag van Rotterdam 22-10-1846 naar Soerabaja met P.F. in groenblauw, zegel rechtsboven deels kort, cat.w. 3750 De aankomstdatum 16-1-1847 is volgens het Corinphila-archief de laatst bekende gebruiksdatum van een landmailzegel!
