Adelaide printing from Perkins Bacon Plates 1856/58: 2 d. 'blood-red', wmk. Large Star, a fine unused example in rich shade, with clear margins on three sides, closed on top, vertical crease on bottom left and tiny ink spot at center, attractive appearance, fresh and fine for this rarity, part gum.
