Auction 256 March 2023
Our 256th auction entails extensive collections and stocks of Netherlands and colonies, the first part of the impressive C. Avezaat collection (single frankings and first day covers) and the second part of the P. van Alteren collection (Dutch numeral cancellations). In addition we offer better lots foreign countries (especially French colonies), coins and picture postcards.

1875 H.A.P.A.G. (Hamburg American Packet Company) 11 used stamps (Mi. nos. 1-2) with a variety of different postmarks including agent handstamps (Buhrow, Schutt Co., Feddersen, Willink & co., J.H. Harriman & Co., Sievers & Tippenhauer), ring cancels, blue 'P' etc. in mixed quality in folder










1920-1939 collection mostly */** with better items including Port Gdansk neatly described in KaBe binder
1939/1945 collection used and */** including sheet margins, varieties and better items in stockbook






1941/1943 collection mainly */** including better sets and miniature sheets (Mi. nos 1-4), Back of the Book and some duplicates on stockcards







Stalag and Oflag approx. 70 covers/postcards concerning POW mail including Oflag IID, IIIB, IVC (Colditz), VIIB and XIIIB, 1941 R-cover from Lager Marie über Bitterfeld to France, Correspondance to Holland (Grieken family) from different camps etc. in stockbook and folder









Stalag 28 covers and postcards mainly different camps including Entlassungsschein Belgium POW 10-01-1941 from Stalag XB (Neuengamme), Kriegsgefangenpost Stalag IIE (Schwerin) to Seine (FR) 29-3-1943 charged with 50c postage due, Stalag 371 (Stanislau) 7-9-1943 to The Hague, Verpflichtungsschein for Polish POW from Stalag XIB etc. prepared on album pages in folder









1872/2000 collection constant varieties/plate flaws and other varieties with about 7000 stamps, used and */** including better items and Plattenfehler catalogue (T.S. Verlag). Neatly described in 1 album and 5 stockbooks


















1944/2000 very nicly arranged, partly specialised collections including GDR almost complete with the Marx miniature sheets and red booklet. Collection Allied Zone with better material (incl. Goethe miniature sheet), some covers and a collection FRG used and */** with better sets (used) booklet combinations etc. in 14 stockbooks/albums
























1852 onwards collection mainly used with better sets and miniature sheets including German States, Berlin, FRG, and Saar in 5 albums
