Transatlantic Flight of the Lituanica II. Cover from Brooklyn, New York to Kaunas carried by Lieutenant Felix Vaitkus during his attempt to cross the Atlantic Ocean on September 21st 1935, very fine with autograph of the aviator. Vaitkus was forced to change the original plan to reach Lithuania in one run due to bad weather conditions. He had to make a forced landing in Ireland thereby damaging the plane severely. The remnants of the Lituanica were crated and send by ship to Lithuania where Vaitkus and the wreckage received a heroes welcome.
